Parliamentary Liver Health Reception

Deaths from liver disease have risen by 25% in the last ten years and obesity is recognised as a significant risk factor for a type of liver disease known as Non Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD).

Weight Concern were invited to take part in a Parliamentary Liver Health Reception, along with several other key charities to raise awareness of liver disease.

We were pleased to see that many MPs, Councillors and Members of Parliament were interested in this important issue.
